Whole tapeworms can be found in poop or sticking out of the rectum. Roundworms look like spaghetti and can be found in vomit and/or poop. Not all intestinal parasites can be seen in your cat's poop some are only identified in a poop sample examined under the microscope. Sometimes cats with intestinal parasites show no signs at all. Vomiting can also be seen, sometimes with worms in the vomit. Intestinal parasites can cause diarrhea, weight loss, rough hair coat, and/or a pot-bellied appearance. Thank you for any guidance or help you can offer.Executive Leadership, Foster Caregivers, Public, Shelter/Rescue Staff & Volunteers, Veterinary Team I have included a picture to show you what it was. His weight is standing at 13.6 lbs and he is a bengal if that makes any difference. 4 of a pound in the last 4 months - but again he’s a pretty picky eater so I just thought that’s what it was. The cat has mostly thrown up liquid - clear or a yellow/ tan color. Is there anyone that can make a guess at what it is to calm my nerves a little bit before I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon? Like I said previously I do have an active appointment tomorrow and I did save the thing he brought up in a ziplock. However this is what came up this afternoon. That’s a normal reaction he has with new things. I assumed the first time was his displeasure of the new wet food that I got him. The cat threw up a total of 8 times today. I see no fleas on either the cat or the dogs. If not in the field they play outside daily. I do however have two active hunting dogs. He has been eating fine - always available dry food and wet food twice a day. The earliest he can get him in is tomorrow at 2. My 10 year old cat today threw up what I believe was a worm. I think I’m posting this in the correct place but I’m not entirely sure.
